How can manual
therapy help in injury? Many people are suffering for a long time from
dull pain and limited mobility following the various injuries. Is it
possible to do something if it has passed several months or years
since an injury had happened?
It is very
interesting. I experienced this myself. Once I had injured my finger
very hard. I knew from my previous experience that pain would last
long. Yet I tried unconsciously to adjust my finger. It has clicked
and the ache has subsided right away. To my great surprise next day my
finger did not practically hurt.
Since then I treat
any injury by this way and each time I get the same result no matter
what it is: an ankle or knee injury, a tedious contusion of the elbow
or wrist - the ache subsides immediately and the healing runs ten
times faster.
This is not a
miracle. The point is that each contusion causes a muscle injury,
slight misalignment of the joints and leads to a blockage impairing
the blood circulation. Later that transforms into a source of pain and
inflammation. Removal of this misalignment prevents the development of
inflammation, facilitates the healing process and makes it brief and
painless.
