Doctor Andrew Ivanchenko is a Medical Doctor in Family Practice who is focusing his practice on rehabilitation of pain syndromes of bones, muscles and joints.
His specialty is Manual Therapy. It is aimed at getting rid of the primary cause of the pain in spine and joints rather than merely masking the pain with medications.
Manual Therapy is a new branch of Medicine that joined together the efficiency of practical manual techniques with theoretical wisdom of Medical Science. This was a real breakthrough that give chance for Medical Doctors to explore the unknown land of self-healing reactions of the body.
In 1988 Dr. Ivanchenko completed his specialization in Manual Therapy at the Post-Graduate Medical School in Kiev, Ukraine. Since than he practiced his method first in Russia, than in Sofia, Bulgaria (1990-1997), and now in Chicago, USA.
He created a new theory of Synergy Healing. It studies principles of the healing process rather than mechanisms of disease. This approach represents a synthesis of the Eastern and the Western medicine, of ancient and modern medical science.
Its fundamental concept is: "The organism is a self-regulating system possessing fantastic potential for self-recovery". The major goal of Synergy Healing is to remove the functional blockages on the physical as well as on the mental level. These blockages disperse vital energy and prevent the ignition of the body’s natural reaction, self-healing.
Over 20 years of practice this doctor’s healing hands have helped more than 15 000 patients with various kinds of joint-muscular disorders and chronic pain syndromes. He uses his experience in Oriental Martial Arts and Yoga to develop effective and original exercise programs for his patients.
His range of techniques includes:
- Joint mobilization,
- Neuromuscular massage,
- Deep tissue therapy,
- Myofascial release,
- Trigger point therapy.
